Fresh from obliterating crowds nationwide on the V Festival tour, and with their hotly anticipated album ‘Apocalypso’ set to drop this weekend, it seems everyone is going gah-gah over The Presets of late. Even Delta Goodrem…

Interviewed recently by Channel [V]’s Jane Gazzo, Delta did her best impression of the band’s hit single ‘My People’, although when first reading the lyric sheet she clearly showed absolutely no knowledge of the song whatsoever. “Is that the words? So let’s head in your room lovely?” Delta remarked, clearly taken aback by the risque subject matter.

The confusion continued until Gazzo informed Ms Goodrem that The Presets were in fact ‘an Australian band,’ which it seems was all she needed to hear to finally give the song her seal of approval. “They’re very good!” she proclaimed, only seconds after drawing a blank when first reading the lyrics. “You’ve got to support Australian bands.”

This isn’t the first time The Presets have gone head to head with a diva in recent weeks, having also caused Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins to spit the dummy at the V Festival on the Gold Coast a few weeks back.

Check the clip below to see Delta giving The Presets the diva treatment… Don’t be too hard on her, she was ‘Born To Try’ after all.
