Green Day To Tour WithAmerican Idiot

Former bratty frat boys turned political commentators Green Day have announced details of a national Australian tour in March 2005.

Last touring Australia in support of the Warning album, the band’s latest American Idiot has seen it storm to the top of the Australian charts – surely the first album ever to so do whilst featuring several ‘punk operas.’

The dates are as follows:

March 3, 2005 – North Shore Event Centre, Auckland, NZ
March 7, 2005 – Brisbane Entertainment Centre
March 9, 2005 – Sydney Superdome
March 10, 2005 – Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne
March 12, 2005 – Adelaide Entertainment Centre
March 13, 2005 – Rockit Festival, Perth.

Good “girls don’t like boys, girls like cars and money” Charlotte said during their recent tour that they would return in March to support Green Day, but this has not yet been confirmed by the promoters.

The chance to relive the now-10-year old album Dookie (makes you feel old, doesn’t it?) should be reason enough for you crazy kids to attend.
