Legendary axe-man Page Hamilton has scheduled a very special in-store appearance for his Melbourne fans to coincide with the Helmet tour. He’ll be giving a talk and demonstrating his renowned technique at Manny’s on Saturday 3 May.
This is sure to be a standout tour for Helmet. As part of each of their Australian performances, they’ll be playing their pioneering post-punk album Meantime in its entirety. The brutal 37-minute record is just one highpoint in the group’s hard-hitting back-catalogue, so these live shows are sure to be electric. Hamilton’s guitar clinic at Manny’s will cover “everything from his signature ESP tools of the trade, through to his unique chord voicing and monster tones.”
