The Breeders land in August

Iconic indie originals The Breeders are returing to Australia for a succession of theatre shows in July/August. Do we smell a Splendour rumour?

Fronted by one of music’s brightest visionaries Kim Deal, the 20-odd-year-old oufit last visited our shores in 2003. That tour was a sell-out, with Deal making her triumphant return as part of The Pixies last year. The Breeders are back with a new album, Mountain Battles, ensuring this tour will be more than a trip down memory lane. Deal crafted the record with her sister Kelley, Jose Medeles and Mando Lopez, all of whom make up the touring band.

While only headline shows have so far been announced, the scheduling of the Breeders tour is waving a big flag marked – œLIKELY FOR SPLENDOUR’ at us. In the meantime, though, add these dates to your diary.
