Billy Corgan's diva demands

Billy Corgan has been a needy little Pumpkin on this V Festival tour, if reports are to believed.

Always at the forefront of journalistic integrity, Popbitch.com dropped a little inside information that can either be taken with a shovel of salt or happily lapped up. Allegedly Corgan requested “a defibrillator and an ambulance” on his rider when recording a show for MTV. He also stipulated that crew members were not allowed to walk in his line of sight while he was performing.

While that’s all conjecture, Corgan did enjoy a bit of a dummy-spit at V Festival Gold Coast. He was reportedly none too happy The Presets could be heard playing across the field during the Smashing Pumpkins’ mainstage set.

In an interview with FasterLouder this week, Kim Moyes from The Presets told us, “Billy Corgan slagged us off on Sunday. Every time he stopped a song he’d look over and see our crowd having the best time of their lives. You know, he’s pretty miserable. I guess he was just jealous.”

Asked what the frontman had actually said, Kim was all to happy to share. “He was complaining about all he could hear was the kick drum, and his band started to play along to what they could hear. Of course, none of them have any groove, so apparently it sounded really terrible. Apparently he told the crowd to go and bash up our crowd.”
