Firm favourites on these shores, prodigious Ohioans The Black Keys are gracing us with their presence again this June.
The tour is to promote new album Attack & Release, which, unsurprisingly, has been greeted with effusive reviews. The Black Keys recorded with producer-du jour Danger Mouse in Cleveland, marking the duo’s first departure from their studio in Akron. As a result, Attack & Release is a rollicking, unvarnished ride through bluesy rock and soul. The pay-off is much the same at a Black Keys live show: only two guys, but a whole lot of grunt.
Don’t miss The Black Keys on their Attack & Release tour of Australia.
