Jeff Martin encore solo shows
Wed 2nd Apr, 2008 in Local News
If you missed him at the Blues and Roots Festival, you have two more chances to see Jeff Martin (formerly of the Tea Party ). He has just announced two final solo acoustic shows in Perth. He will then return to Ireland to complete his forthcoming album A Line in the Sand. So far just a working title, A Line in the Sand will revisit the blues, the mystique and the Middle Eastern Influences so evident in the Tea Party’s work.
As well as killer vocals, guitar, sitar, sarod, oud, banjo, mandolin and dumbek, Martin was responsible for the production of all eight of the Tea Party’s albums. The band is best known in Australia for the singles Save Me and Temptation.
As well as showcasing his future musical direction, Martin says it is likely to be the last time he plays some of the Tea Party rarities in concert. If you’re a Tea Party fan, you won’t want to miss it.
He plays a special dinner and show at Friends Restaurant on Friday 4 April, or if the local is more your bag, at the Charles Hotel on Saturday 5 April. Tickets available from Bocs.
