The Presets tour Apocalypso

Having just raved the socks off V Festival in Gold Coast and Sydney over the weekend, The Presets are ready to embark on a national headline tour to promote upcoming album Apocalypso (do titles get any bigger?).

Anyone who’s caught the pair recently, whether at V or Laneway, can attest to the muscle of the new material. With lead single My People already able to incite mass scream-alongs, the next release This Boy’s In Love looks set to be equally dancefloor-ruling. Apocalypso finally arrives 12 April on Modular. The ever-expanding legion of Presets disciples has ensured the boys will be playing their biggest venues yet on this jaunt.

The Presets Apocalypso tour, presented by Modular Touring, hits the road in June. Tickets on sale Monday 7 April.

Friday June 13 – The Enmore, Sydney NSW
Saturday June 14 – The Tivoli, Brisbane QLD
Thursday June 19 – The Metropolis, Fremantle (Perth) WA

I wouldhave thoughtthe roundhouse would be a kickass venue for this, at least the floor is flat and there won't be a middle barrier. Enmore is wrong wrong wrong.

Not any fluoro really, but an absolutely ball-tearing live show. I was so pleasantly surprised to hear Anywhere as the encore. That's probably the 15th time I've seen the Presets and they've come a long way since the Candy's/Hopetoun days.

I thought they almost ruined it with their encore. Anywhere is a good song, but it is not something to finish with. My People absolutely blasted for the end of the main set and the entire crowd was jumping, and then they come back and play something akin to elevator music (after My People being so intense).

Interesting! I loved the drop in tempo. Absolute highlight of the set for me. And they finished with I Go Hard I Go Home, so there was the best of both worlds I s'pose...

7 15 and there was already an ambulance carting two 16 year old girls off who had passed out.
I'm hoping monday nights is better.

The crowd really wasn't too bad. I was in the front dancefloor/mosh pit area and it was fine.

I've seen much worse crowds, thats for sure. Everyone was having a great time.
