With a new album Pretty.Odd set to do big business, Panic At The Disco is blazing back to Australia for a run of stadium shows in August.
This is the band whose last tour here sold out in the blink of an eye, and their feverish fan-base is ever-expanding. They may have dropped that wayward exclamation mark from their name, but the knack for writing big, bombastic anthems hasn’t wavered. Pretty.Odd has been acknowledged as a more rounded effort than Panic’s debut A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, written when they were 17. Regardless, their live shows remain as exuberant and theatrical as ever.
Supporting the headliners on their national rounds is Chicago five-piece The Academy Is…, whose third album is also hotly-tipped. In a nutshell, these shows will be capital ‘B’ Big. Tickets go on sale Tuesday 15 April.
