Having turned heads as one half of Teenager with Nick Littlemore of Pnau, Pip Brown is now focusing her attentions on her own solo project, going under the name Ladyhawke. She’s just made her first steps towards world domination, inking a worldwide deal with everyone’s favourite indie label, Modular.

Growing up in New Zealand, she also spent time in Sydney, before relocating to London recently. She’s making friends in high places, too, with Courtney Love calling herself a fan, and electro-queen Peaches inviting her to Berlin to work together. Her first single, ‘Back Of The Van’, was produced by Michael De Francesco of labelmates Van She, and will be followed by her debut album later this year.

Check the clip for ‘Back Of The Van’ below to see Ladyhawke chanelling the ghost of Stevie Nicks… actually, she’s not dead yet, huh?
