To celebrate the release of their debut EP Where Do You Hide Your Toys, Perth outfit Sugar Army are set to play two special shows in Melbourne over the next fortnight.
Sugar Army will support fellow West Australian’s Little Birdy at the Corner Hotel on Saturday March 15, before launching their debut EP at the Evelyn on Thursday March 20.
Released on new Perth-based label Good Cop Bad Cop, Where Do You Hide Your Toys has received rave reviews across the country, and first single ‘And Now You’re Old Enough I Think That You Should Know …’ has received a generous flogging on both triple j and community radio.
Sugar Army’s year kicked off with an impressive four 2008 WAMi nominations in the Most Popular Single/EP, Best Rock Act, Best Bassist and the prestigious Most Popular Act categories. The band have also picked up some stellar supports along the way, having shared the stage with Interpol, Eskimo Joe, Gerling, Something For Kate, Expatriate, Wolf & Cub, Children Collide and more.
And with a triple j Next Crop artist accolade, their WAMi award nominations, and a slot on the 2007 Big Day Out under their belts, 2008 is sure to be an exciting year for Sugar Army.
