The Huge Falls Festival Lineup

The Thrills, The Beautiful Girls, Even and Donavon Frankenreiter have just been announced as a part of the ever expanding Falls Festival lineup. The festival – which, as you know, takes place from Dec 30-Jan 1 at Lorne, Victoria and Marion Bay, Tasmania, is now close to completing the lineup announcements.

The Thrills in particular are sure to make a big impression on Australian audiences, with the Dublin band currently touring the US in support of The Pixies (I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they sneak Frank’n’Kim over to get up on stage for a rousing rendition of Wave of Mutilation – but I can’t see it happening). The band’s latest album Let’s Bottle Bohemia debuted at #1 on the UK charts and led to nominations for both the Mercury Music Prize and the Brit Awards.

The latest announcements join an already action-packed lineup including internationals Billy Bragg, The Black Keys and De La Soul as well as locals including You Am I, The John Butler Trio, The Living End, Betchadupa and The Cops.
