The Autumn Isles, Perth’s best kept indie pop secret, are set to release their second EP Wish Lists & Sunken Lands. Spawned as the brainchild of Alex Arpino, with a unique mix of 60s psychedelia, and indie pop rock, The Autumn Isles bring an introspective edge to the infectious pop hook.
Since forming in 2005 the Autumn Isles have clocked in an impressive resume of support gigs for Idlewild (Scotland), Machine Translations, Architecture In Helsinki, Josh Pyke and Bob Evans. Not to mention their debut single ‘Beautiful Pantomime’ receiving national air play, and the band being nominated for a WAMI Pop Song of The Year two years in a row (06/07).
The next chapter in the Autumn Isles story is about to be written with the upcoming release of their second EP Wish Lists & Sunken Lands, a diverse collection of songs that demonstrates the artistic vision and craftsmanship of this impressive five-piece.
For Perth fans, Wish Lists & Sunken Lands will be launched at the Amplifier Bar on Saturday April 5. The EP is available nationally through Green Distribution from April 12. Additional Perth dates are to be announced, as well as a national tour later in the year.
