Warning: Machine Gun FellatioAre On (Thin) Ice!
Wed 20th Oct, 2004 in Local News
Fresh from being announced as a part of the Homebake lineup in December, Machine Gun Fellatio have released details of an extensive tour in support of latest album On Ice.
Joining MGF on their run of dates will be Triple J favourites Butterfingers (all shows) and The Spazzys (all shows except for WA). MGF keyboardist / show pony Chit Chat Von Loopinstab recently told Melbourne’s Inpress magazine that the band are striving to present a fresh, new live show to audiences on this tour.
“I’ve been pricing video projectors and industrial fans and all this other strange equipment, trying to work out how we can make this thing bigger. I’m hanging to get out there and get stinky”, he said.
The On Ice tour will be the band’s first national headline tour in 18 months, and the first opportunities for many cities to hear the new material live – from the stunning The Growing, to current single Troublemaker to all-out rockers Qweeny and Positive Song.
If you have seen MGF live before or are one of the 100,000+ people who own previous album Paging Mr. Strike, you know what to expect. If not, go out and purchase On Ice and prepare to be a convert. You won’t regret it.
