Rock super-group Velvet Revolver has cancelled its upcoming run of shows in Australia. The reason? Scott Weiland has “relapsed”.

“The cancellation of these shows will allow lead singer Scott Weiland to continue treatment at a rehab facility which he voluntarily entered after the band’s February 6 performance in Los Angeles,” reads the press statement.

“Velvet Revolver deeply apologize to their fans in Australia and thank them
for sticking by the group when various members have relapsed during the last year and a half.”

Refunds are available at point of purchase.

Cancelled dates:

Friday 15 February – Convention & Exhibition Centre, Brisbane
Saturday 16 February – The Enmore Theatre, Sydney
Sunday 17 February – The Enmore Theatre, Sydney
Tuesday 19 February – Festival Hall, Melbourne
Wednesday 20 February – Thebarton Theatre, Adelaide
