With Smashing Pumpkins and QOTSA headlining, V Festival was already shaping up to be one of the must see events on the musical calendar – the second round artist announcement which includes indie faves Modest Mouse makes buying a ticket imperative.

Whilst V Festival has been an Institution in the UK festival arena for many a year, Australia had its inaugural V Festival just last year, with The Pixies headlining. Many thought the 2007 line-up could not be beaten – then along came V Fest 2008 with Smashing Pumpkins, QOTSA, Duran Duran and Jesus and Mary Chain heading up the first round announce.
