Muse take No. 1 in Triple JHottest 100

In a minor coup, Muse claimed top spot in the Triple J Hottest 100 over the weekend – seizing the mantle from what’s typically an Australian act. The kings of pomp romped it in with Knights Of Cydonia, closely followed by silverchair at No. 2.

It’s hardly surprising, though, that Muse ranked so highly. Their most recent album, Black Holes and Revelations, was well represented by Triple J, with an epic stadium tour to back it up.

In addition to silverchair’s Straight Lines, other homegrown high-rankers included John Butler Trio, Faker and The Panics.
