Sydney’s Youth Group will join Interpol on their upcoming Australian tour in February. After recently capping off a tour with Kings Of Leon and performing as a part of the spectacular Triffids shows, Youth Group are set to play Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne with the New York four piece.
Over the last couple of months, Youth Group have been holed up in a 1920’s near derelict mess hall on Sydney’s harbour putting the final touches to their much anticipated fourth album. The band turned the vacated building into a studio, bringing in all of their own gear to create a unique recording environment. The old dining room morphed into their ‘band room’ and the old bathroom became the ‘control room’ where engineer/producers Anthony The and Tim Kevin were at the helm. The album is set for release in early May.
For a sneak preview of their new tunes, make sure you catch Youth Group on tour with Interpol. Sydneysiders can also see them this Saturday when they play ‘The Rocks’ as a part of Australia Day celebrations.
