On January 27, Harmony Park Surry Hills will swell to the sound of pop rock as The Cops take to the stage to celebrate the winners in the One80Project.
For those not in the know – the one80project was an online comp searching for a film project that could be turned into a drama suitable for viewing on mobile phones. Entrants were asked to submit a three minute pilot and script which was then uploaded to the one80project website and voted on by the public and a panel of judges.
Festivities will kick off at 6pm with The Cops serving up some tasty tunes, then as the sun goes down, the top ten entries will be screened and punters will get a chance to view a special sneak peek at last year’s judges choice winner, Takoyaki City.
From the ten finalists, two winners will be selected and announced at the festival. The first will be chosen by the One80Project panel of judges including acclaimed actors Noah Taylor, Alex Dimitriades, Emily Barclay and director Neil Armfield. The second will be selected by the public who have until 25 January 2008 to cast their vote at www.one80project.com.au
