Probably best known these days as the estranged father of musical siblings Martha and Rufus, singer songwriter Loudon Wainwright III will bring his quirky indie songwriting skills to bear this summer as he sets off on a national tour of Australia

Recently Wainwright made a reappearance on the charts after releasing the critically acclaimed album Strange Weirdos: Music inspired by the film Knocked Up. Whilst Wainwright is a Grammy award winner and infamous for his acserbic wit and penchant for mining his personal life for musical fodder (witness Rufus is a Tit Man and Hitting You ) He is probably best remembered for his 70s hit Dead Skunk. Or for the track his daughter infamously penned about him – Bloody Motherfucking Asshole
