The Devastations firstAustralian shows in two years
Mon 7th Jan, 2008 in Local News
Melbourne trio The Devastations recently had the crowds jumping up and down and clamouring for more after their appearance at Meredith Festival. The three piece are set to repeat the performance at this year’s Laneway Festival with a stack of sideshows added into the mix to please the fans.
The gigs will mark the band’s first homegrown headline appearances in two years.
Since relocating to Berlin, the sometime Melbourne band have had quite a time of it – signing to indie cred label Beggars Banquet and releasing a third album, Yes U, mixed in New York City with Chris Coady [Blonde Redhead, TV on the Radio] thank you very much…
So mount up my friends, ‘cause you don’t wanna miss the chance to see these folk on home soil rocking their little hearts out…
The Devastations tour dates:
Saturday, 2nd February: East Brunswick Club, VIC
with Gareth Liddiard (drones) Solo
Wednesday, 6th February: The Troubadour, QLD
with Gentle Ben & His Sensitive Side
Saturday 9th February: The Annandale Hotel, NSW
with Gareth Liddiard (Drones) Solo and Loene Carmen
