2008 is a Leap Year
Thu 20th Dec, 2007 in Local News
After signing to Melbourne label Hobbledehoy earlier in the year, local act The Leap Year will start this leap year with the launch of their debut full-length release.
Supporting acts including Shooting at Unarmed Men, Low and Deloris, The Leap Year have carved themselves a reputation as a solid live band, while Mess & Noise has compared them to Sunny Day Real Estate and Slint.
Recorded earlier this year at Bergerk, With a Little Push a Pattern Appears is locked in for release at the band’s launch gig on Friday January 18, ahead of a US release later that month.
They will hit the stage at Amplifier Bar in the city, playing alongside The Tigers, The Wednesday Society and Pacific by Rail. Tickets will be available at the door and albums will be on sale on the night.
