Here for the Big Day Out tour, New York indie-dance duo Shy Child have moved their Sydney sideshow from the Gaelic Club to Spectrum.

The boys have supported everyone from the Klaxons to Muse (at their Wembley Arena spectacular no less), and their live show comes with considerable hype attached. With a sound loosely defined as “rubbery synth-funk basslines, reclaimed rave, lurching rhythms, ’80s pop and electro, jittery R&B and future disco”, they’re sure to bring the heat to Spectrum.

Stayed tuned for our interview with Shy Child, but until then make a note of the venue change:

Shy Child and guests – Spectrum (Oxford Street), Tuesday 22 January

Is that a keytar? Damn right! Check out Shy Child’s clip for Noise Won’t Stop.
