New show announced for SonicYouth

Woohoo! A second Sydney show has been announced for Sonic Youth at the Enmore Theatre in February as part of the Don’t Look Back season of showcase gigs.

For the concert event, Sonic Youth will be performing their magnum opus Daydream Nation in its entirety. Joining them will be indie rockers, The Scientists, presenting the extended version of the grunge-template Blood Red River.

Australia marks the latest stop for this leg of the Don’t Look Back series and indeed for Sonic Youth who have been performing Daydream Nation in the UK, the USA, Italy and Spain although it is the first time the Scientists have performed Blood Red River in its entirety anywhere. Well.. in the last 20+ years anyway.

Tickets for the new show are on sale Friday December 21.
