The FUSE 2008 Conference & Showcase places South Australia firmly on the main stage of international music business with the announcement of their 2 keynote speakers for the event taking place February 27-29 2008:

Michael Chugg (International Concert Promoter)

From humble beginnings organizing gigs for his cycling club in Launceston, to being named Promoter of the Year at the International Live Music Conference, Michael Chugg’s commitment to live music is so vast it defies description. “Chuggi” is considered to be a pioneer of the Australian music industry having over 40 years experience in organizing and promoting international artists. His efforts have not only included promoting some of the biggest concerts in Australia and New Zealand, but also his tireless promotion of Australian Music to the rest of the world.

Martin Elbourne (Chief Booking Agent – Glastonbury Music Festival)

Martin Elbourne’s contribution to music is unprecedented. He is currently the talent buyer for the Glastonbury Festival, Guilfest, Jersey Live, and The Lovebox Festivals. He is the co-promoter for industry events M for Montreal and The Great Escape. He is also credited with co-founding WOMAD and was agent for iconic UK artists The Smiths and New Order. He has previously been a promoter, run a label, been a manager and… is there anything he hasn’t done? He’s been described as an Iconic Eventist and shuns any suggestion that he is a meaningless futurist!

With band registrations closing soon, it’s vital you register now to give your band an opportunity to be seen by the people who can make a serious difference for your future!

Conference only registrations are now also open – don’t miss the opportunity to hear the words of wisdom both Michael and Martin will dispense, as this is not a public forum.

Stay tuned to the FUSE website for further announcements.

Nobody has hearted this, be the first!
