Mary Trembles guitars stolen

It’s a sad sad day when helping out a mate turns out to be a bad move. But that’s what happened to Mary Trembles frontman Tanzie over the weekend. While helping out some friends at a studio in Bowen Hills, three of Tanzie’s guitars were stolen from his car.

The word is being put out that, although Tanzie would dearly love to rip into the thieves, what he really wants is his guitars returned, so if they are dropped into Skinny’s Music in the city, there will be no questions asked.

The guitars taken were:

2003 Gibson Les Paul Classic (1960 re-issue)
Black with chrome hardware, cream binding, and scratchplate (removed). Guitar was in a Black Gibson hardcase, with plush black lining, and inside the case was a black guitar strap, with straplocks fitted, and the scratchplate. On the outside of the case are various airline baggage labels and fragile stickers.

2005 Gibson SG Bass
Cherry Red with chrome hardware. Bass was in a black Gibson hardcase with plush white interior. Inside the case was a black guitar strap with straplocks fitted.

2002 Fender Mustang
Blue with Red Tortoiseshell scratchplate. The Mustang had been modified quite a bit from standard. Modifications include: 2 humbuckers (black&white), a Gibson style tune-o-matic bridge, and 3-way pickup selection switch. There is also a small dent in the guitar near the tail piece. The mustang was in an old generic hardcase with red lining. Some of the catches on this case are loose. On the outside of the case are various airline baggage labels and fragile stickers.

If anyone thinks they may have seen these guitars or has any information as to where they are, could they please contact the band through their Myspace or by emailing them at marytrembles@froggy.com.au
