Quite possibly the biggest act in electronic music right know, The Chemical Brothers will head back to WA in March as part of the Future Music Festival.
The Chems’ last Perth gig went down in history as thousands of punters swarmed the Boiler Room at the 2005 Big Day Out to get close to Ed Simons and Tom Rowlands. Since then, the duo has collaborated with the likes of Midlake, Klaxons and Willy Mason on new album We Are the Night, as well as headlining festivals all around Europe.
Joining The Chemical Brothers at Future, which takes place at Wellington Square in East Perth, is a star-studded lineup of DJs and live electronic and hip-hop acts. Superstar DJs (sorry) John Digweed and Roger Sanchez will turn out, while Who Made Who and Aesop Rock will play live. The March 2 festival will also feature the Silent Disco, which gives punters the chance to dance to their own beat on their very own private headset system.
Tickets are available from December 10 through www.inthemix.com.au and Ticketmaster, as well as Mill’s, 78’s and Planet Video.
