The countdown to this year’s WAMi Festival has begun, with tickets for the WAMi Awards night on sale.
The ceremony, which will take place at the Beck’s Music Box on Perth Esplanade during the Perth International Arts Festival on February 21, will bring together the top achievers in WA music over the past year.
In recent years, the awards have been dominated by the likes of Eskimo Joe, Snowman, Schvendes and Birds of Tokyo and with the current state of WA music, the 2008 Awards are set to be as good as any other year’s.
Kicking off on Friday February 22 and continuing through to January 24, the WAMi Music Business Conference brings a lineup of top music industry notables to Perth to network and share ideas, as well as no doubt having a look at WA’s best new talent.
