The Potbelleez NYE Whirlwind
Wed 21st Nov, 2007 in Local News
The Potbelleez are certainly going to be having a whirlwind New Year’s Eve to remember. They have just landed one of the most exclusive opening act slots around, that of Channel 10’s live New Year’s Eve show. The national broadcast reaches over 2.1 million people and in the past has launched the careers of bands like the Rogue Traders and Sneaky Sound System. The Sydney-based Potbelleez kick it all of from Sydney Harbour with ARIA charting hits such as Don’t Hold Back and Junkyard, along with a new single.
Their crazy night continues immediately after their performance when they board a Lear jet which takes them to Brisbane to play at their sold-out midnight show at the Family nightclub. New Years Day they are on to perform the Sunkissed festival on the Gold Coast before they re-board the jet to head back to Sydney for the Ministry of Sound’s New Years Day Festival. After which they are probably going to sleep for a few days.
