Number Station win Triple JUnearthed comp
Tue 20th Nov, 2007 in Local News
It is no secret that Homebake is the most prestigious all-Australian festival around. The line-up for 2007 features Divinyls, Missy Higgins, Gotye, Sarah Blasko, Cut Copy and more great Aussie bands than you probably know what to do with.
Each year Triple J’s Unearthed comp gives one band the chance of a lifetime; a place on this sacred line-up, a free trip to Sydney, and a $500 performance fee and rider. This year’s lucky winners are Melbourne’s own Number Station. The band caught the attention of Triple J music producers with their track Way We Live and secured the win with their smooth guitars and catchy drum beats.
Even though the boys only have a few live gigs under their belt, they are sure to kick off the Homebake Festival 2007 in style. For more info on Number Station and the Unearthed comp visit Triple J’s Unearthed website
