Veronicas add extra Perth date

With tickets to their first Perth show selling like hotcakes, pop duo The Veronicas have extended their stay at the Burswood Theatre to two nights.

Riding on the success of new LP Hook Me Up, the Brisbane sisters are the hottest property in Australian pop right now, with the album’s title track copping a serious flogging on radio around the nation and hitting number four on the charts.

After starting their national tour on Friday November 30, they’ll play the second show the following night, Saturday December 1, before jetting off to the East Coast. Guest MC at both shows will be Video Hits presenter Nathan Sapsford. While Australian Idol’s Dean Geyer will support at the East Coast gigs, the opening act for the Perth shows is still to be confirmed.

Video Hits Presenter Nathan Sapsford has been confirmed as the official special guest MC for The Veronicas upcoming national Hook Me Up Tour. Taking to stages in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Wollongong, Newcastle, Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Sapsford joins the already impressive line-up – which not only includes The Veronicas, but also Australian Idol’s Dean Geyer (playing all shows except Perth). One of the hottest young VJ’s to grace Australian music television of recent times; the ex-MTV presenter is sure to bring something special to this tour.
