With festival season coming up and the Big Day Out already sold out, the next festival is Soundwave. Last year +44 played, along with Thrice and a few great local acts such as Something With Numbers. This year, the line up seems to be around the standard, too.

Tomorrow is the announcement of the full line up, but the first round announcement named these acts:

Sugarcult
Socratic
The Matches
Boys Like Girls
Kevin Devine
Bleeding Through
Still Remains
Shadows Fall

Motion City Soundtrack are heavily rumored to be playing among speculators, but either way it’s guaranteed to be a great day. None of the bands are Rage Against The Machine, but they put on live sets that’ll make you forget all about politics and just have some fun.
