Damn Arms support Klaxons andCut Copy

Art-punks Damn Arms, who are gearing up for the release of their debut album The Live Artex on November 3 via Timberyard Records, will support Klaxons and Cut Copy on separate national tours this October and November.

Damn Arms will play sold out shows with UK electro sensations Klaxons in Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Sydney and Brisbane, from next week.

The Melbourne-based four-piece will also team up with fellow locals Cut Copy in November, playing nine shows over three weeks in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Moorooduc, Byron Bay, Parramatta and Newcastle.

Produced by Nick Littlemore of Pnau ( Mercy Arms, Lost Valentinos ), The Live Artex was mixed by Kevin Shirley ( Led Zeppelin, Slayer ) and mastered by Ryan Smith ( Jay Z, Talking Heads, Yo La Tengo ).

Building up to be one of the most anticipated local releases on 2007, The Live Artex juxtaposes raw punk-rock energy with new-wave smarts. By combining frantic drumming, caustic guitar, celestial synth and driving bass, The Live Artex will have you cursing your limbs for their innate urge to move.

After spending the past two years touring across Australia and Europe, Damn Arms have earned a reputation as one of Australia’s most promising exports. The band have played European tours alongside their Euro contemporaries Test Icicles and Forward Russia!, and earlier this year sold out headline shows in Paris and London.

Back on the home front, Damn Arms have earned their reputation as one of the hottest bands on the local scene, having played with The Kills, Midnight Juggernauts, The (International) Noise Conspiracy, We Are Scientists, Liars, Spankrock, Whirlwind Heat and more.
