Young Lovers launch debut EP
Thu 11th Oct, 2007 in Local News
At a time when Melbourne punters seem to have two left feet, Young Lovers are bringing the remedy. It’s not that folks can’t dance, more that they won’t. Either way, Mornington Peninsula’s very own Young Lovers – Luke Carlson (vocals and synthesizer), Jake Oliver (guitar), Bill Winder (guitar), Scottie Chalmers (drums) and Rachael Jakubenko (bass, bare feet) – are having none of it.
Formed in 2006, Young Lovers are all under 22, and have already made waves supporting 1990s (UK), British India, Youth Group, Children Collide, Dardanelles, 67 Special and Jebediah to name a few.
Their self-titled debut EP features the irresistible – œTalking In French’ pop smash, and three more addictive gems, bound for dancefloor glory. Now, Young Lovers are keen to launch the fruits of their recording efforts this month, along with extra shows alongside The Cops/Expatriate.
