Dardanelles launch new clip toMirror Mirror
Fri 5th Oct, 2007 in Local News
Following on from the success of first single and radio favourite – œFootsteps’, comes the second single and title track from Dardanelles’ surreal debut album Mirror Mirror.
Accompanied by a brand new clip produced by Melbourne’s Moop Jaw, whose earlier work includes clips for C.S.S, Architecture in Helsinki and Macromantics, the – œMirror Mirror’ clip is a joyous meditation on the wisdom of the inanimate. Fans can view it online at Dardanelles’ MySpace.
Dardanelles will also bring their otherworldly live show to venues around the country for their album launch tour throughout October and November. Playing shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Ballarat, Adelaide, Newcastle, Hobart, Launceston, and Canberra, Dardanelles will be supported by electronic wizard E.L.F ( Darren Cross from Gerling ) and rock upstarts Reptiles.
Featuring 11 tracks, Mirror Mirror is a lucid dream of unexpected hooks, hypnotic grooves and vivid lyrical imagery. Dardanelles combine shoe-gaze guitars, hip-hop programming, Detroit-tech piano, one man choirs, and Kubrickesque trance outs into a whole which avoids easy musical comparison.
Catch Dardanelles on their upcoming Mirror Mirror album launch tour as they spread their mischievous musical vision far and wide.
