WAM confirms Song of the Yearnominees

The nominees for this year’s WAM Song of the Year awards have been confirmed, with the likes of Schvendes, The Panda Band and New Rules for Boats all up for gongs.

The awards are split into 17 categories and recognise all types of music, ranging from indigenous to gospel to school to jazz. The 17 category winners, as well as one overall winner, will be announced on October 31, at a ceremony held at the Fly by Night Musicians Club in Fremantle.
