Bjork heads to SydneyFestival: So what about BigDay Out?

WIth Bjork confirmed to perform at next year’s Sydney Festival in January, is a Big Day Out slot now also a shoe-in for the singer?

Sydney Festival today announces the Icelandic songstress will be performing for one night only on the Sydney Opera House Forecourt on January 23, 2008.

The iconic performer has built a career on consistently challenging creative concepts – yet her often unclassifiable music has scored her fans from the most eclectic of music critics to Joe Shmoe general public.

The Sydney Festival appearance will feature songs from Bjork’s extensive back catalogue and tracks from her new album Volta.

Tickets on sale Friday November 2.

I should probably keep an open mind, as its a live performannce. If she sucks, it might also save me one of those nasty clashes... (Im trying to be more positive in forums but its hard, so hard..negativity is easier to write and more fun to read except for the infuriated fans)
I'll stop rambling now.

Well yeah its hard to be positive when your trying to imagine Bjork in her crotcheted dress prancing around the stage doing some interpretive dance of her childhood..... ho hum

not sure if BDO is the right atmosphere for bjork, would've thought splendour or falls to be more appropriate but hey if she comes to BDO im not complaining. she is amazing.

Well she was good enough for the BDO in 94, don't think the atmospere was troubled then. Also Bjork shares the same tour management as Arcade Fire so fingers crossed, could mean jack though.
