Lime Spiders make their return
Tue 25th Sep, 2007 in Local News
Australian post-punk legends Lime Spiders are back with a live album, and they’ll mark the occasion with a national tour in November December.
Described by Rolling Stone as “The Sex Pistols on acid”, Lime Spiders’ blend of late-1970s punk with 1960s psychedelia made them one of the most successful acts on the Australian independent charts in the ‘80s.
Releasing three full-length albums between 1987 and 1990, the Sydney-based four-piece left a lasting legacy, which has seen them covered by acts from kiwi band The D4 to college rock staples Goo Goo Dolls.
Their national tour takes in eight dates through November and into December, including a special album launch gig at the Espy (where the album was recorded) on November 2.
