Skybombers are returning home, fresh from playing gigs in the US and signing to a US booker – Agency Group, plus hooking up with the renowned agent Ron Stone from Gold Mountain (*Foos, Beastie Boys, Beck The Breeders*). The band plans to serve up their garage punk pop to local audiences.
Influenced by ‘60s garage pop, ‘70s rock and roll, early punk, ‘90s grunge and Britpop like The Kinks, The Clash, You Am I, The Easybeats, Oasis and The Hives, Skybombers are about energy, they’re about melody, they’re about 4 A.M., they’re about being so drunk that you can’t stand still, so your only option is to dance. Most of all, they are about being young. Everyone can relate to that!
The band will be playing hooky with Vasco Era and the Fumes for several local dates before heading back to the US to work on their debut album scheduled for release in 2008 through Albert Prodcutions.
