New EP for Institut Polaire

Popfrenzy have got their mitts on a new EP by the awesome Perth based Institut Polaire. The one time three-piece (now a nine-piece) will bring their pyschedelic-tinged ‘60s pop rock to your ears this October when the album drops in record stores.
The CD titled The Fauna and the Flora was developed over the course of the last twelve months – which has been a remarkably busy time for the outfit – with gigs with the likes of Camera Obscura, Architecture in Helsinki, The Clientele, Jens Lekman, Lou Barlow, Gerling, Starky and The Panics. Not to mention (okay, we’re mentioning it) the WAMi Song of the Year for City Walls and Empires and the Triple J unearthed slot at the Perth Big Day Out.
The band will be announcing tour dates soon, so stay tuned to FL for details and keep your peepers peeled for The Fauna and the Flora out on Pop Frenzy on October 1.
