It’s been a long wait for fans of the legendary rock trio Crosby, Stills & Nash but their eagerly awaited re-scheduled Australian tour is finally on the horizon!
And in great news for Melbourne fans, a new show at the Palais Theatre on Sunday December 9 has been added to the tour. This will give fans a chance to see the band in an intimate theatre environment in what is set to be a very special concert experience.
The other Victorian show is for the popular – œa day on the green’ at Rochford Wines, Yarra Valley on Saturday December 8.
Crosby, Stills & Nash’s first Australian tour in 18 years was announced to a phenomenal response last November, with concerts set for February this year. Unfortunately, when member David Crosby fell ill two weeks before arriving, the tour regrettably had to be postponed.
With summer weather conditions required for the outdoor ‘a day on the green’ concerts, there was no choice but to reschedule for the upcoming summer months, thus causing a ten-month postponement.
But the wait is nearly over. The new concert dates sees the three consummate singer/songwriters ready to kick off their Australian tour on Saturday December 1.
David Crosby and Graham Nash are about to embark on a September/October duo tour of the US, which will have them ready and in fine voice for the Australian shows.
Musically, CSN continue to captivate audiences around the world with their peerless three-part harmonies, inspired song-writing and musical virtuosity. On stage the trio perform for two hours, playing their classic work together as well as favourites from their acclaimed individual careers.
With songs like ‘Marrakesh Express’, ‘Suite: Judy Blues Eyes’, ‘Teach Your Children’ and ‘Love The One You’re With’ to name just a few, the upcoming Australian tour is a rare chance to experience one of the most important and influential bands of our time.
December 9 – Palais Theatre (Melbourne)
December 8 – Rochford Wines (Yarra Valley)
Tickets for the December 9 show go on sale at noon on Tuesday September 25 from Ticketmaster and 136 100.
