Festival of the Sun artistline-up revealed

Port Macquarie is set to rock this summer when Festival of the Sun kicks off once more with a stellar line-up of hot Aussie acts.

After a sold out 2006 festival, the FOTSUN crew are back with a abang delivering an awesome festival that brings together artists from all walks of the Aussie music scene for a two day mash-up of alternative, indie, hip hop, blues, roots and rock..

Once again, the festival is an all ages event and this year punters can enjoy sets from the likes of Gotye, Cog, Butterfingers, Clare Bowditch and the Feeding set, Ash Grunwald, The Fumes, Kid Confucius, SubAudible Hum, The Boat People, Aurora Jane & Massive Change, The Sins, Tjupurru, Mr Percival, Goerge Byrne, with more to be announced.

Festival director Simon Luke stated that he is proud to host such a premium Australian line-up. “This year will undoubtedly be our most impressive,” said Simon. “We look forward to some very special festival moments with the eclectic musical extravaganza of Gotye, Cog’s amazing wall of sound, Butterfingers ripping show, the return of crowd pumping Kid Confucius and the gorgeous sounds of aria winning Clare Bowditch, I could just go on and on.”

If you’re looking for a pre Christmas break and music is your bag, then look no further than Festival of the Sun located at Town Beach in the middle of the Sundowner Breakwall Tourist Park, which occupies 8 hectares in the best position in town, surrounded by water.

Festival camping is on site eliminating any transport issues and 2007 will again be BYO, which is loved by punters who don’t have to spend a fortune on drinks over the weekend.

The Festival of the Sun will also play host to the annual SunScreen video clip finals. SunScreen is a national competition created to give Australian independent artists and music video makers the chance to showcase their videos to Australian audiences, minus the competition of massive budgets and major label promotion teams.

General tickets go on sale October 1st for $99 + booking fee including 2 nights camping. Tickets are strictly limited and will be available at www.fotsun.com
