After spending most of 2007 in the studio, Perth band Gyroscope are back with a new single from their forthcoming third LP release. Recorded in the UK, Snakeskin is the first taste of new album Breed Obsession, which is due for release early in 2008.
Snakeskin will be released in stores and online on October 27, and will be accompanied by a video clip that’s sure to grab your attention. Filmed in Wiltshire, in England’s Southwest, the band performed in the centre of a 200m crop circle tailor made for the shoot.
The band will head out on tour in support of Snakeskin in October and November, playing shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide as well as a hometown gig at Club Capitol in Perth. Horsell Common will provide support at all shows, while Calling All Cars will play the East Coast gigs. Indie-rock quartet Love You Not will open the night at the Perth show.
Tickets go on sale at 9am on Thursday September 20. Add Gyroscope as a friend via Myspace for access to an exclusive fans-only presale.
