Metal gods Iron Maiden will tour Australia for the first time in 15 years when they touch down in Perth this summer.
The Australian shows are the first on their huge Somewhere Back in Time tour, which will take the band around the world several times throughout 2008. What’s more, singer Bruce Dickinson will be flying the band as well as their crew and gear from city to city on a customised Boeing 757 plane.
The tour will feature a stage setup based heavily on the 1984-84 Powerslave tour, while fans will also see DVD releases of Live After Death and Maiden England in 2008. In keeping with the 1980s theme, the band promises a set drawing heavily from material of that era.
Iron Maiden Somewhere Back in Time Australian tour 2008:
Monday February 4: Burswood Dome, Perth
Wednesday February 6: Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne
Saturday February 9: Acer Arena, Sydney
Tuesday February 12: Entertainment Centre, Brisbane
TIckets go on sale from 9am on September 27 through Ticketek.
