East Coast Blues and Rootsannounced
Thu 30th Aug, 2007 in Local News
East Coast Blues and Roots will be back again next Easter and the promoters are excited to announce the festival will be returning to its original home at Belongil Fields from March 20 – 24, 2008.
Belongil Fields offers a site four times larger than Red Devil Park – the festival’s most recent home – and according to the promoters provides the opportunity for an even better listening experience. Next year the festival will have two main tents and every stage will be a little more spaced apart to make for a more comfortable experience all round.
The festival will also sport a new seated undercover food court, a chill out area, more bars, an additional stage, and more space and comfort for all punters plus camping for up to 2500 people on site. Belongil Fields will be the festival’s temporary home until it moves to the new permanent site at Tyagarah for 2009.
Says Festival Director Peter Noble s “Myself and festival partner Michael Chugg have been travelling the world, going to festivals, and meeting with artists and their representatives in recent months. I wish I could say more, but I can tell you that the amazing artists we’ll present in 2008 will take Bluesfest to another fantastic level. A number of whom will not only be playing Bluesfest for the first time, but will be touring Australia for the first time.”
Early bird tickets for the festival will go on sale on Monday September 03 2007.
Early Bird 5 day ticket – Adult $320 Child $100.
Early Bird 3 day ticket $235/75
