After finishing third in this year’s Next Big Thing competition and impressing Mr Ben Kweller as he took a break from his Autumn tour of Oz, The Howlin’ Novocaines have gone one better, scoring the national support for blues-rock trio The Vasco Era throughout October and November.

Still relative newcomers on the Perth scene, the Howlers provided local support at WA gigs for The Vasco Era’s album tour back in June and, after impressing punters left, right and centre, they’ve been invited back for a crack at the East Coast.

Bad news for Victorian Audiences though: while the band will open for the Vascos and The Fumes in South Australia, Tasmania, Western Australia, Queensland and New South Wales, they’ll be missing out on the gigs in Melbourne and regional Victoria.
