Perth three-piece Adam Said Galore will be taking the red eye east to unleash new single No Animals upon fans in Sydney and Melbourne.
The single marks the band’s first foray into the marketplace in almost five years and shows the outfit’s development since previous release Of Lost Roads and their change from a four-piece act to trio. The song was recorded by bassist Simon Struthers in the band’s studio in Perth, with the mixing and finishing touches being completed in Sydney.
Things have been fairly quite for the band, with vocalist Andrew Ryan touring with Schvendes cellist Tristen Parr in Fall Electric, but the upcoming tour marks the beginning of a long-overdue return, with an album release tentatively scheduled for early-to-mid 2008.
Their whistlestop East Coast tour will kick off on August 31 at the Hopetour, where they’ll link up with ex-Perthites Tucker B’s, of which Galore drummer Matt Maguire was once a member. They’ll then head down to Melbourne for a gig at the Rob Roy before making their way back to Perht in time for a hometown single launch gig at Amplifier on September 30.
Adam said Galore tour dates:
Friday August 31: Hopetoun Hotel, Surry Hills, Sydney
With Tucker B’s and Dune Buggy
Sunday September 2: East Brunswick Club, Fitzroy, Melbourne
With Bum Creek, Extreme Weeze and Josh Armistead
Sunday September 30: Amplifier Bar, Perth
With Sex Panther and guests TBC
Tickets for all shows are $10 at the door.
