Ochestral sci-fi art rockers The Red Paintings are finally hitting the studio this month to record their highly anticipated debut album The Revolution Is Never Coming . The album is being financed by the band’s fans worldwide and will include a 60 piece orchestra and choir as well as local painters in the studio capturing the the next three months of the band’s crazy antics.
The band’s recent EP Feed The Wolf , which was released independently in Australia through the band’s own label Robot Records and Vitamin Distribution, was also funded by fans.
They are hoping to raise $40K+ to record the album and have New York producer Tidy Kid , residing in Brisbane, to produce it. They will be recording the album over the next three months starting this month (August 2007) using an orchestra and choir.
“Once again we would be nowhere without our fans and friends, and we are so grateful for your support and keeping us creative outside our bedrooms.” The Red Paintings’ Trash Mcsweeny (vox/guitar).
Fans who donate $40 or more will receive a signed copy of the album and a credit on the album sleeve when it’s released in summer 2008, as well as an invitation to a private acoustic show at the studio in Brisbane before production commences in August.
