The forefathers of Perth’s indie scene, The Stems, will play a one-off warm-up gig before hitting the road with the Hoodoo Gurus and Radio Birdman.
The triple-header tour may not be hitting Perth, but the Dom Mariani-fronted band will give Perth fans the chance to be the first to hear material from Heads-Up, their much-anticipated comeback album, at the Leopold Hotel on September 7. What’s more, a very limited edition of the album will be available at this gig only.
Support act for the show is The Howlin’ Novocaines, who have recently turned heads with some blistering performances in the Next Big Thing competition and as state-wide support for The Vasco Era. Word on the street is the Caines have a famous fan by the name of Ben Kweller and if their recent recordings are anything to go by, we’ll see them headlining these gigs before too long.
Tickets are available for $20 presale from the venue and $25 at the door (if available).
