New Hives album for October
Thu 5th Jul, 2007 in International News
Highly theatrical Swedish rockers The Hives WILL be back, but not before they get round to sorting through all the stacks of tracks they’ve recorded with a heap of high-profile collaborators that includes the likes of Timbaland, Pharrell Williams and Jack Knife Lee. Yep you heard right, and it should lead to some pretty interesting results when the album sees the light of day in October.
According to The Hives camp, “This new album has been recorded all over the world because we thought it was time to have other people involved besides ourselves and our closest friends.” A majority of the new album was recorded in Mississippi with producer Dennis Herring but the band also flitted around to locations as far flung as Japan, Miami and London to record with the before mentioned uber producers.
“At this time we have a lot of songs. In the past we only had what was on each album. We ask you to bear with us as we take the time to wrestle this onto an album. An album of inhuman proportions. Hope all of you will enjoy it.”
If the wait becomes too long to bear, you can check out the video of their Timbaland collaboration Throw It On Me on The Hives website .
